"Barefoot" Auditions!!

There will be two sessions of auditions for the PCPH production of Neil Simon's bright comedy Barefoot in the Park. The first session is Sunday, July 22, at 3 p.m.  The second session will be Monday, July 23, at 7 p.m.  Both sessions will be held in the Rehearsal Center at the Hazel Day Longden Theatre.

The play will be produced September 13-15 and September 19-22. It is being sponsored by:

It is being directed by Jack Randall Earles.  Assistant director is Sandi Rossok. They last collaborated on the play On Golden Pond in 2016.

Characters to be cast include the lead Corie Bratter, a young newlywed with firm opinions about life and marriage, stage age early 20's; Paul Bratter, her new husband, a brash young lawyer with his own uptight views, stage age mid to late 20's; Helen Banks, Corie's mother, who is trying to adjust to life on her own, stage age 50's+; Mr. Victor Velasco, the upstairs neighbor with a eye for the ladies who may just be interested in Helen, stage age 50's+.  There are two smaller roles, a telephone installation man who offers Paul and Corie advice on life and marriage, and a non-speaking role of a delivery man.  Ages for these characters are undetermined.

Those auditioning should be at least 18 years of age. There are no roles for children in this production.

All of those attending will be asked to read from the script.

ROAD CLOSED!!!!

A reminder for our patrons: SR240 is closed just west of
 Highway 75.  

You can continue west on U.S. 40 to SR 231. This is the next light after your usual turn off just west of Stilesville.

Come into Greencastle on SR 231. Turn right at the first light, the  Veteran's Highway. Continue through the 4-way stop at the High School-Middle School.

Turn left at the next turn bubble - this is 10th Street.  Go straight at the light, and you will be on your usual road....look for us on the right!

"THE MOUSETRAP" SPRINGS!!!

The unlikely suspects above are featured in the July production as the Putnam County Playhouse Season of Hits continues. One of these characters is a serial killer, another will become a victim.

Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap will be seen on the mainstage July 12-14 and July 18-21. All performances begin at 8 p.m. and all tickets are $10. Reservations can be made by calling the box office at 765-653-5880 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday thru Saturday.

The play is directed by TJ Tincher, an actor who has been in many plays at PCPH including last season's The Foreigner. This is his directorial debut here.

Also working on the technical side are Bryan Schroeder as Techical Director and Sound Designer, Noah D. Pettit as Production Stage Manager, Darv√čll Barger as sound operator, and Ohenaba Quarshie as light operator.

The show features Anna Harris and David Lorimer as a young couple (Mollie and Giles Ralston) who open a small hotel about 30 miles outside London.  

Their guests include an eccentric young man, Dustin Boothby (Christopher Wren), a demanding older woman, Kathy Helms Arnold (Mrs. Boyle), a retired Army major Jack Randall Earles (Major Metcalf), and a mysterious young woman Cheyenne "Sky" Welch (Miss Casewell).

Last to arrive are Jay Prewitt (Mr. Paravacini) an unexpected guest and Cameron Wunderlich (Sgt. Trotter) a policeman investigating a London murder.

Nothing is quite what it seems, and when one of the guests is murdered, Sgt. Trotter has his hands full investigating the twists and turns of the evening.  See if you can figure it out before he does!

Tickets for all remaining shows including the current production The Mousetrap, Disney's Beauty & the Beast, and Barefoot in The Park on are sale the next two weeks. You can buy or reserve tickets for any of these shows by calling the box office at 765-653-5880 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.  Volunteers are in the box office ONLY during the posted times.

Seating is limited for some nights of Disney's Beauty & the Beast. Best seats for that musical are available for opening night, August 9; the 3 p.m. Sunday matinee on August 12; Wednesday, August 15; and closing night, August 18.
